When contacted, Ajay Khanna, executive director, DLF Retail, “We have no comment to make on this issue." Anuj Puri, CEO of Jones Lang LaSalle Meghraj, which has been named a co-defendant along with DLF, could not be contacted. Stocks higher ahead of Fed
Stocks opened slightly higher on Monday as investors waited for more indications about how much the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates at Tuesday's policy meeting. The Dow Industrials and S&P 500 each gained about .2 percent in the early going, while the tech-fueled Nasdaq gained around .1 percent. Investors are eagerly anticipating the Fed policy meeting on Tuesday. The central bank is widely expected to cut rates, although the market is divided over whether it will lower rates by a quarter of a percentage point or half of a percentage point. Swiss bank UBS (Charts) announced an additional $10 billion writedown on its subprime holdings and said the charge could lead to a full-year loss for the firm. Six budget graphics cards fail in DX10 shoot-out
Our all time favorite synthetic grinder of pixels is a good way to start this story. Now, you shouldn’t pay too much attention at 3DMark on these cards, since there are no increments of thousands. Why? Because a really faster card would lead by by thousands, not hundreds. In this synthetic test, it does not take long to see the difference between 3850 and 2600XT. It is clear the 8500GT and 8400GS are poor here, since they scored as low as some notebook chips. On the other side, ATI 2600XT is falling behind XFX 8600GTS which shows a notable performance with its higher clocked parts. However, accolades go to Radeon HD3850, which just shatters the competition. Crysis The game everybody wants to hear about and play, Crysis will suck all the juice from your card and CPU and ask for more.
Wu fighters
The Wu-Tang Clan don't do things like your normal rap group. From Staten Island, New York, with nine MCs battling for dominance, Wu-Tang have consistently rewritten the rule book since they emerged in 1993. From their debut album - a revolutionary record of jerky hip-hop spliced with dialogue from obscure kung fu movies - the Clan went on to launch a dynasty that spanned countless solo albums, acting careers (founder member RZA is in the current American Gangster; Method Man has been in HBO drama The Wire), a clothing empire, even a video game. .

'Golden Compass' briefly loses its way
(B) The familiar fantasy character of the feisty tomboy heroine gets an upgrade in The Golden Compass. This smart, streamlined adaptation of the first novel in Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy unfolds in a world similar to but vastly different from our own in a time that's like a blend of our 19th and 20th centuries. The movie goes by quickly -- maybe too quickly. You want the film to slow down so you can savor the alternate-universe England that writer-director Chris Weitz and production designer Dennis Gassner conjure from a millennium's worth of public monuments, as well as a mix-and-match of Victorian and Edwardian architecture and industry. We move from the brushed stones of Oxford to an art deco London without losing our bearings, so cunningly have the filmmakers filled out their vision with burnished wood and coruscating metal and glass.
