She tells a “close friend": "I will do what I must. What does any of it matter if it helps find Madeleine?"

Detoured again by drugs, Greg Williams and The Ticket face a bump in ...

The queso creation was ooey-gooey and a touch greasy, thanks to the chorizo. The tortillas are just a skosh too bready and I found it better to tear away about half of the starchy flat to enjoy the flavor of the mash. Coupling it with crispy tortilla chips also made for a delicious bite. The dish made four tacos, which, for four diners would have been perfect, but for two of us was way too much of an appetizer.

Next came entrees that would have been more appropriate if made for someone named Gigantor. The portabello/beef tenderloin was about the size of my face. A very lightly battered portabello cap formed the base and held a layer of grilled onions, then a layer of grilled (and exquisitely tender) beef tenderloin slices, then another of onions. A poblano cream sauce was drizzled over the top and bled nicely over into the side of cilantro-infused rice.

Telegraph to fund history TV show

Telegraph Media Group is to co-fund a TV series that will run on the History Channel and marks the newspaper publisher's first move into ad-funded programming.

The series, which has the working title 50 Things Every Citizen Should Know About, will be presented by TV historian and author Dan Snow.

Telegraph Media Group, owner of the Daily Telegraph, Sunday Telegraph and telegraph.co.uk, has signed an agreement with the History Channel to jointly fund the five-part series, which will air next year.

It is understood that TMG has also secured digital rights for online use of the show, footage or clips through a service such as Telegraph TV.

Each programme in the series will feature between eight and 12 events from British history - such as the construction of Stonehenge or the invention of the internet - with a total of 50 to be featured.

'Mama can’t help you'

When she had her first child I carried a backpack through Spain and went to the opening of the Guggenheim museum in Bilboa. When she was forced to walk around her house in a piss-soaked dress, I made films, working for people who had only respect for me. When she tried to kill herself and signed papers to give her girl up for adoption -- something she couldn't do in the end -- I convinced myself that I needed a holiday and travelled through South America for almost a year. When she pleaded with the police and courts to help protect her against her husband, I was falling in love with a man who can't kill spiders or poisonous snakes. Ous is black and I'm white. She has no power -- not even over her own body or the bodies of her children. By comparison I'm God. These days Ous laughs softly, covering her mouth with her hand.

Sun hasn't set on Trump's grand plan

We are not bullying anybody. What is going on right now is that he [Mr Ford] is being bullied by his own voters but he is too self-righteous and caught up in himself to even see it.

"We haven't done anything other than demand a fair hearing. We are happy and honoured by the fact that the ministers called in the application. I think it's a very brave move. We didn't have anything to do with that.

"What's going on in Scotland now has nothing to do with the Trump Organisation bullying or demanding or strong-arming. What's happening now is that there's massive public outcry.

"People are not satisfied with their politicians - politicians like Martin Ford."

At last Thursday's crucial vote, where he used his casting vote to refuse the Trump application, Mr Ford said: "We are having a pistol held to our heads.
